As per reports, the Mumbai–Pune Expressway “Missing Link”, a newly constructed 13.3‑kilometre stretch designed to bypass the accident‑prone Bhor Ghat section, is scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday (01 May) and opened to traffic shortly thereafter.

• During the initial phase of operations (approximately six months), the Missing Link will be restricted to cars, buses, minibuses, and light commercial vehicles only.
• Heavy goods vehicles will not be permitted on this route during this period due to safety considerations and to assess traffic patterns once the link becomes operational.
• Authorities have indicated that the decision on allowing heavy vehicles will be reviewed after six months, based on traffic studies and post‑monsoon conditions.
