As per reports, following are the updates related to the ongoing unrest in Manipur, as of Saturday (25 April):

• On Friday (24 April), at least three people were killed and several others injured amid an escalation of violence between the Kuki and Naga communities in Ukhrul district. Of the fatalities, two were identified as members of the Kuki community, while the third belonged to the Tangkhul Naga group, and at least nine individuals were reportedly injured in the clashes.
• Following this, the local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, as community leaders and residents raise concerns over the intensifying tensions.
• Meanwhile, the Kuki CSO Working Committee in Ukhrul district has warned that communities may resort to full-scale self-defense if the situation worsens. The committee further alleged that Tangkhul militants carried out coordinated attacks across multiple villages, including Mulam, Shongphel, Mongkot Chepu, Shangkai, and Zalenbung on Friday (24 April).
• Furthermore, a 10-hour shutdown is underway in Kangpokpi district on Saturday (25 April), called by the Committee on Tribal Unity, from 0600 to 1600 hours (local time) to honor the deceased. Shops and commercial establishments remained closed, while educational and private institutions suspended operations. Vehicular movement, however, was largely unaffected during the shutdown period.
• Security measures continue to remain enhanced in the area to prevent further escalation of violence, and operations are still underway in the surrounding area to rule out further untoward incidents in the state.
