As per reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is scheduled to organise a ‘BSY Abhimanotsava’ event in Chitradurga on Saturday (09 May), to honour former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on 50 years of his political journey.
• The event is expected to witness participation of around 10 lakh people, making it a high-density public gathering.
• Union Home Minister of India Amit Shah is likely to inaugurate and attend the program, along with senior BJP leaders including state president and other dignitaries.
• Preparatory rituals including a ‘Bhoomi Puja’ (prayer ceremony) for stage and venue arrangements are scheduled at 1000 hours (local time) on Sunday (26 April).
• A ‘purapravesh’ (grand entry) of B.S. Yediyurappa is planned at 1800 hours (local time) on Friday (08 May), the day before the event.
