As per reports, the Patna Traffic Police have issued a special traffic management plan, including route diversions and movement restrictions, in view of a proposed protest march supporting the Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment Bill on Monday (20 April).
The march is expected to commence from Bapu Auditorium, with a significant turnout of participants anticipated.
• Traffic movement is expected to be affected in central Patna, particularly around Gandhi Maidan and adjoining arterial roads, with restrictions on auto and e-rickshaw movement imposed from 0600 hours (local time) until the conclusion of the protest. Auto and e-rickshaws will not be allowed to exit at Gandhi Maidan or Rajapur Bridge until protest dispersal.
• Vehicles from Danapur heading towards Rajapur Bridge will be redirected back at Police Line Tiraha.
• Vehicles originating from Gaighat via Kunkun Singh Lane can access Ashok Rajpath-Krishna Ghat (auto/e-rickshaws permitted).
• Entry of auto/e-rickshaws towards Gandhi Maidan from Exhibition Road (northbound) will be completely restricted.
• Vehicles from SP Verma Road will only be allowed to proceed up to Swaminandan Tiraha before being diverted back via Bata Turn.
• Auto/e-rickshaw movement will not be permitted on Buddha Marg/Chhajjubag towards TN Banerjee Path.
• Kotwali stretch from Police Line Tiraha to Bank Road will remain closed to auto/e-rickshaw services.
• Auto/e-rickshaw movement will be allowed up to Thakurbari Mor on Baripath; further access towards Gandhi Maidan and Bakarganj will remain restricted.
