As per reports, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has recorded a 4.2 magnitude earthquake approximately 43 kilometres southwest of Nias Utara, North Sumatra, on Sunday (19 April).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 15 kilometres at around 0704 hours (local time).
