Large-scale workers’ march scheduled to take place in Brasilia on Wednesday (15 April)

As per reports, Brazil’s main trade union federations are set to hold the Working Class Conference (Conclat) 2026 and a large workers’ march in Brasília on Wednesday (15 April).

The mobilisation is scheduled to begin from 0800 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Wednesday (15 April), with approcimately 10000 participants gathering in the parking area of the National Theatre, near the central bus station and Brasília Cathedral.

• At 0900 hours local time (1200 hours UTC), union leaders, labour representatives, social movements, and delegations from multiple states are scheduled to participate in the Conclat plenary session, where they are expected to approve the Working Class Agenda 2026–2030.
• At approximately 1030 hours local time (1330 hours UTC), participants are expected to begin a march from the National Theatre area through the Esplanade of Ministries.
• The march is being jointly organised by several major trade union federations, including the Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT), Central dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras do Brasil (CTB), Força Sindical, União Geral dos Trabalhadores (UGT), Central dos Sindicatos Brasileiros (CSB), Nova Central Sindical de Trabalhadores (NCST), Intersindical, and Pública.
• The mobilisation is a part of broader national day of labour action linked to upcoming Labour Day activities on 01 May.
