As per reports, a heavy mobile crane engaged in Metro Line 2B construction work toppled near the Asian Heart Hospital junction in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, Maharashtra during the early hours of Wednesday (15 April).

• The incident occurred while the crane was lifting a pre-cast beam, with initial inputs indicating a mechanical failure at the work site managed by a private contractor. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
• Following the incident, authorities initiated recovery operations, including the mobilization of additional equipment to remove the toppled crane.
• In coordination with traffic police, vehicular movement has been diverted away from the affected junction to facilitate clearance operations. Officials have also indicated that safety inspections are being carried out at the site before full restoration of normal movement.
