As per reports, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported a maritime security incident in the Red Sea, approximately 54 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, on Sunday (12 April).

• According to the report, a small boat carrying 10-12 individuals, including armed personnel, approached a commercial vessel and attempted to force it to stop and board.
• The vessel’s crew did not comply and used warning signals, prompting the approaching boat to disengage and move southeast.
• Authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing, and vessels transiting the area have been advised to exercise heightened caution and report any suspicious activity immediately.
