• Reportedly, authorities from Chile and Argentina coordinated with respective road and transport agencies to implement the closure as a precautionary measure.
• Reports suggest that the closure applies to all categories of vehicles using the Cristo Redentor integrated border system.
• Reports indicate that barrier closures at Guardia Vieja in Chile and Uspallata in Argentina are scheduled from 1300 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) and 1400 hours local time (1700 hours UTC), respectively.
• Reportedly, the international tunnel is scheduled to suspend vehicular movement from 1500 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) in Chile and 1600 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) from the Argentina side.
