As per reports, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has forecast a continuation of unstable weather patterns across several regions of Morocco on Tuesday (07 April), following an intense period of wind and dust activity.
• Strong wind gusts and localized rainfall are expected to persist throughout the day as a North Atlantic low-pressure system moves across the Mediterranean and North African coast.
• Moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated in the northern and central Atlantic plains, extending locally into the High Atlas and the Souss region.
• Wind gusts ranging from 60 to 80 kilometres per hour may still be observed in exposed coastal and mountainous areas, contributing to reduced horizontal visibility in regions prone to blowing dust.
• High-altitude areas above 1,800 metres in the Atlas and Rif mountains may experience localized snowfall and a marked drop in temperatures.
• The affected areas include Tangier, Larache, Kenitra, Casablanca, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Agadir, Marrakech, Taroudant, and Azilal.
