As per reports, the Counter Intelligence Wing of Amritsar arrested three suspects on Monday (06 April) during a coordinated operation conducted, apprehending a terrorist module allegedly operating with support from Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI.

The details are as follows:

• During the operation, security forces recovered two hand grenades and a foreign-made Glock pistol from the accused. Preliminary investigations indicated that the module was functioning in an organized manner and had plans to target security agencies, particularly police installations across multiple states.
• The recovered hand grenades were found to bear Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings, suggesting cross-border linkages. As part of the operation, one of the accused was also apprehended in Ahmedabad through a joint effort with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad.
• Authorities stated that the group had been planning its activities for a considerable period before being disrupted. An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operations Cell police station in Amritsar under provisions of the Explosive Substances Act and the Arms Act.
• Further investigation is underway, and interrogation of the arrested suspects is ongoing to identify additional links and possible networks.
