As per reports, clashes erupted between two groups during a Ram Navami rally in the Raghunathganj area of Murshidabad’s Jangipur on Friday (27 March). Authorities have since said that the situation in Jangipur, Murshidabad district, is now peaceful.

However, prohibitory orders have been imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. At least 31 people were arrested on Saturday (28 March), and 21 others were injured in the clashes.
