As per reports, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima has ordered the temporary closure of the National Stadium of Peru, located in Cercado de Lima, following repeated violations of municipal regulations during events held Friday (27 March) and Saturday (28 March).

• The decision was implemented on Sunday (29 March) through the municipal inspection and control authority in accordance with Ordinance No. 2200-MML.
• During inspections, authorities identified multiple compliance failures, including excessive noise levels, overcrowding, disturbance of public order, accumulation of solid waste, and disruption to the surrounding residential community.
• Prior to these events, the stadium administration had received formal warnings emphasizing the need to adhere to authorized operating hours, sound limits, and safety and cleanliness standards.
• Despite these warnings, violations persisted, resulting in enforcement action. Municipal personnel, supported by local security forces and police, carried out the closure by placing official notices at all access points to the facility.
• The stadium management has been granted a 48-hour period to submit a formal response or defense, after which authorities will evaluate whether conditions for reopening have been met. The municipality has reiterated that the responsibility for compliance lies with the venue administration regardless of event organizers.
