Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a Level 2 heatwave alert affecting parts of northern Peninsular Malaysia on Friday (27 March). Level 2 status indicates maximum daily temperatures between 37 degree celsius and 40 degree celsius for at least three consecutive days, reflecting prolonged and potentially hazardous heat conditions.
The following areas are currently under Level 2 (orange) heatwave conditions:
• Perlis (state-wide)
• Kedah: Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Baling
• Perak: Hulu Perak
