As per reports, farmers’ organisations have announced statewide protests across Andhra Pradesh starting Monday (30 March), calling for the procurement of agricultural produce at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and measures to address ongoing distress in the agricultural sector.
The announcement was made during a roundtable meeting held on Tuesday (24 March) by the Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham and the A.P. Tenant Farmers’ Association. The meeting concluded with a resolution urging immediate government intervention and calling for farmers and agricultural workers to participate in protests at multiple levels across the state on Monday (30 March).
