Traffic diversions announced in view of the Ram Navami festival from Tuesday to Friday (24-27 March)

According to reports, authorities have announced route diversions and traffic restrictions on the Basti–Ayodhya NH-27 in view of the Ram Navami festival. The diversion will come into effect from 1400 hours (local time) on Tuesday (24 March) and will remain in place for 58 hours until 0000 hours (local time) on Friday (27 March).

During this period, the movement of all heavy vehicles, including trucks and dumpers, will be completely prohibited on the affected highway stretch, except for emergency vehicles. Traffic police personnel will be deployed at key intersections to manage traffic flow and ensure compliance with the diversion plan

• As per the diversion plan, vehicles from Sultanpur will be rerouted via Kudabhara to the Purvanchal Expressway, while those from Rae Bareli will be diverted via Haliapur to the expressway. Vehicles coming from Azamgarh and Ambedkar Nagar will be redirected via Gohanna Mod and Dostpur toward the Purvanchal Expressway.
• Traffic from Barabanki will be diverted through Bhitaria, Ramsanehi Ghat, and Haidergarh. Vehicles from Basti will be rerouted via Lolpur to Nawabganj in Gonda, while those from Gorakhpur will be diverted through Khalilabad, Manjharia Tiraha, Katka, Mainsir, Dhanghata, and the Birharghat Flyover toward Ambedkar Nagar and Dostpur.
• Additionally, vehicles traveling from Basti toward Ayodhya will be diverted from Jarwal Road via Manauri, Dumariyaganj, and Uttaraula. Traffic from Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Banshi, Mehdawal, Dumariyaganj, Uttaraula, Balrampur, and Gonda will be redirected from Jarwal Road Tiraha toward Bahraich, and from Tikora turn via Chahalri Ghat Road toward the Sidhauli Sitapur–Lucknow route.
