As per reports, a fire was reported at approximately 2100 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Saturday (21 March) night at a clothing factory located within a multi-storey building in the Al-Muski area of Cairo. An official investigation into the incident is ongoing.

• The incident was communicated to the Cairo Emergency Police Operations Room, prompting the immediate deployment of civil protection forces, including at least three fire engines.
• The fire originated within a factory spanning approximately 800 square metres inside a six-storey building, primarily affecting floors used for manufacturing operations and fabric storage. The presence of large quantities of flammable materials, including textiles and ready-made garments, contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
• Authorities established a security cordon around the site to contain the flames and prevent further spread to adjacent buildings in the densely populated commercial district. The fire was subsequently brought under control and fully extinguished.
