The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alerts for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and squalls in parts of Telangana between Thursday – Monday (19 – 23 March).

• On Thursday (19 March), a yellow alert indicating thunderstorms, with lightning and squalls accompanied by strong surface winds has been issued in districts including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet, J Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Y Bhuvanagiri, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubabad, Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Nalgonda.
• On Friday (20 March), a yellow alert indicating thunderstorms, with lightning and squalls accompanied by strong surface winds has been issued in districts including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, J Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Nalgonda.
• On Saturday (21 March), a yellow alert indicating thunderstorms, with lightning and squalls accompanied by strong surface winds has been issued in Nalgonda.
• No alert has been issued for Sunday and Monday (22 and 23 March).
