As per reports, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), in coordination with Keolis Commuter Services, has announced the suspension of commuter rail services to and from North Station in Boston due to ongoing signal upgrade works, no multiple dates from Friday (20 March).
Disruptions are scheduled from Friday (20 March) through Sunday (22 March), 27 March through 29 March, 10 April through 12 April and 24 April through 27 April.
• During the disruption periods, multiple commuter rail lines are expected to be affected.
• Train services on the Lowell Line between North Station and Anderson/Woburn, and on the Newburyport/Rockport Line between North Station and Swampscott are to be replaced by shuttle buses, with extended service to Beverly Depot on selected dates.
• The Haverhill Line will be replaced by Orange Line subway connections between North Station and Oak Grove, while the Fitchburg Line will be supported by Red and Green Line connections between North Station and Porter.
