As per reports, authorities have announced multiple scheduled disruptions within the Munich S-Bahn network from Thursday (19 March) to 17 April, affecting both airport connections and the Central Trunk Line, Stammstrecke.
• From Thursday (19 March) at 2130 hours local time (2030 hours UTC) until 23 March at 0500 hours local time (0400 hours UTC), S-Bahn services to Munich Airport (MUC) via lines S1 and S8 are scheduled to be suspended due to infrastructure works near the airport.
• From Thursday (19 March) to 23 March, the Munich Airport station is not expected to be accessible via S-Bahn, and replacement bus services are scheduled to operate between the airport and nearby stations, including Neufahrn, Ismaning, and Freising.
• Reports indicate that the second disruption affecting airport access is scheduled from 13 April at 2210 hours local time (2010 hours UTC) until 17 April at 0500 hours local time (0300 hours UTC).
• Additionally, the central S-Bahn trunk line through Munich’s city center is scheduled to be largely closed between 31 March and 13 April, during which many S-Bahn services is expected to terminate early at stations with connections to the U-Bahn network.
• Some central stations, including Isartor from 26 March to 18 April and Rosenheimer Platz from 29 March to 15 April, are also scheduled to experience service interruptions due to construction works.
