According to reports, following are the latest updates pertaining to the ongoing Afghanistan–Pakistan conflict, as of Sunday (15 March).
• State-run media of Pakistan reported that Pakistan’s air force carried out strikes late Saturday (14 March) night, in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar Province, targeting an Afghan military facility that had allegedly been used to launch drone attacks into Pakistan on Friday (13 March).
• Afghanistan’s Defence Ministry announced on Saturday (14 March) that Afghan defence forces captured a Pakistani military post along the Durand Line in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces in the eastern zone in response to the crimes of the Pakistani military regime. As a result of the operation, 14 of their soldiers were killed, and 11 others were wounded. However, the claims have not been confirmed by Pakistan yet.
• On Saturday (14 March), Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, stated that India strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes within Afghan territory, which reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.
• Reportedly, Pakistan’s president warned Afghanistan’s Taliban-led government that it had “crossed a red line” by allegedly launching drone attacks targeting civilian areas in Pakistan on Saturday (14 March).
