The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.1-magnitude earthquake, approximately eight kilometres southeast of Sukabumi in West Java Province, on Sunday (15 March), at 0036 hours (local time).

The earthquake was reported at a depth of 10 kilometres.
