Update on BJP protest in Udupi against Karnataka State Budget proposals on Saturday (14 March)

As per reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans to stage a protest at 1630 hours (local time) near the Old KSRTC Bus Stand in Udupi, on Saturday (14 March) against the state government, alleging that the 2026-27 Karnataka State Budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah failed to address development priorities concerning the district.

The party also plans to organise a padayatra (march) from the office of the Udupi Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) to the protest venue. According to the party leaders, over 1000 individuals are expected to participate in the protest.
