The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has issued a heavy snow advisory for mountainous areas of Gangwon-do on Thursday (12 March).

• The advisory covers Taebaek and the northern, central, and southern mountainous regions of Gangwon-do, where snowfall accumulation is expected to increase due to prevailing winter weather conditions affecting elevated terrain.
• Snowfall intensity may vary across locations, with mountainous zones likely to experience higher accumulation levels compared to surrounding lowland areas.
