Description:
As per reports, major traffic congestion has been reported on North Highway near Calle 209, at the entrance to Bogota, due to an accident industrial a tractor trailer carrying industrial material, on Wednesday (03 December).
The incident occurred in the lane from Chía to Bogotá at approximately 0600 hours local time (1100 hours UTC). Reportedly, six National Army trucks transporting explosive materials to Indumil facilities in Soacha were involved in the accident, following which explosives were scattered across the road.

• The congestion on North Highway is anticipated to affect traffic to Chia, Tocancipa, Puente Del Comun and towns beyond.
• Logistics operators dependent on the route for early morning delivery operations may face significant delays due to rerouting. Public transport operating within Bogota and to other cities might face delays.
