Description:
As per reports, the National Road Implementation Centre (BBPJN) of the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works, has announced plans to suspend all vehicular traffic on Juwana Pati South Ring Road from Thursday (09 April).
Following traffic regulations will be observed:
• Traffic from the east, from Rembang toward Pati City, will not be allowed towards the Juwana Pati Ring Road. Only local residents’ vehicles will be allowed.
• All the traffic will be diverted straight towards the Juwana Square in Pati Residency.
• The traffic restriction will be observed for a period of one month.
• To ensure smooth flow of traffic, the Pati Police Traffic Unit will have personnel on standby 24 hours a day around the project location.
Background:
The road closure has been announced to accommodate necessary repair and upgradation work along the Juwana Pati South Ring Road.
Impact:
The traffic authorities are likely to maintain heightened vigilance around diverted routes and construction sites, with increased monitoring to manage traffic flow and ensure commuter safety.
Localised traffic disruptions on alternate routes cannot be ruled out, as diverted vehicular movement may lead to increased congestion and slower traffic flow on these roads. Bottlenecks are likely, particularly at key intersections and narrower stretches not designed to handle higher traffic volumes.
