Description:
As per reports, one person from Wayanad accidentally slipped and drowned in the Kaveri River at Bennur near Nadanahalli in Mysuru on Wednesday (08 April). Rescue operations were carried out, and the body was recovered.
Impact:
The incident triggered a multi-hour search effort involving local residents and a specialized team of deepwater divers from the Thurkky Jeevan Raksha Samithy, a volunteer rescue group from Kalpetta.
Authorities may issue public warnings, urging youngsters to avoid entering the river during unpredictable water level changes.
