Description:
According to reports, a landslide occurred in the Chan May – Lang Co area of Hue City on Wednesday (03 December). The landslide has led to the burying of roads, leading to traffic jams in the vicinity.
The landslide resulted in the closure of a residential road along the Bu Lu river route, which leads to a tourist area.
Impact:
Communities located directly below the unstable slopes face heightened life-safety risks and possible relocation. Infrastructure repair and slope-stabilization needs may lead to prolonged transport delays, raising logistics costs and affecting time-sensitive commercial activities.
Logistics and supply operations may face delays and required planning of alternate routes. Public transportation may also face disruptions and delays due to route diversions during the road closure period.
