Country: South Korea Event Date: 04-Dec-2025 Risk Level: Low Date Time: 2025-12-03T19:04:52Z

Impact Level: Notification

Locations Affected: South Korea

Tracking Id: RINTP3067267387

Description:

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has issued a heavy snowfall advisory for Ulleungdo, Dokdo and mountainous areas of Jeju-do on Thursday (04 December). Snowfall intensity is expected to increase through the day as cold air interacts with moisture over coastal and elevated terrain.

Accumulating snow may develop more rapidly in higher-altitude areas of Jeju-do, with Ulleungdo and Dokdo also likely to experience intermittent periods of moderate to heavy snow. Conditions may vary depending on elevation and proximity to coastal winds.

Impact:

Heavy snowfall over elevated terrain and offshore islands may reduce visibility and create slippery conditions on mountain access routes and coastal roads. Accumulating snow may slow travel, particularly near the highlands of Jeju-do. Marine and air operations around Ulleungdo and Dokdo may experience minor delays due to winter weather conditions.

Recommendations:

Advised to remain abreast of further weather-related updates via the official website of KMA at https://www.kma.go.kr/
