Description:
As per reports, the Srinathji Police Station officials announced the seizure of a truck carrying explosives near Nathdwara on Wednesday (03 December). Preliminary investigation revealed that the explosives were intended for use in mining blasts.
Police have seized 109 cartons of Eco Prime X explosives were seized, which contained a total of 981 pellets, 100 Trunk Line Delays (TLDs), and 93 detonators were seized by the authorities and arrested the truck driver and assistant for not being able to produce valid documents. Further investigations are underway.
Impact:
Local authorities are likely to intensify security measures across Rajsamand district, including enhanced screening, increased patrols, and additional barricading at key entry and exit points. These steps are intended to curb the movement of any illegal goods, deter smuggling activities, and support ongoing enforcement and investigation efforts in the area.
Localised traffic disruptions near Nathdwara and Srinathji Police Station cannot be ruled out.
