Description:
MetMalaysia has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rainfall, and strong winds warning over parts of Malaysia on Wednesday (03 December). The weather warnings are valid till 1800 hours (local time) on Wednesday (03 December).
• The following are the affected areas:
– Perak (Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim)
– Terengganu (Upper Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman)
– Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Kuantan and Rompin)
– Selangor (Upper Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang)
• – WP Kuala Lumpur
– WP Putrajaya
– Negeri Sembilan
– Melaka
– Johor
– Sarawak: Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh) and Miri (Subis and Beluru).
Impact:
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall may reduce visibility on major roads, potentially slowing early travel and intercity movement. Localised waterlogging in low-lying areas could momentarily affect vehicle traction. Strong winds may result in falling branches or unsecured debris in exposed zones. Short-duration disruptions to small-vessel activity cannot be ruled out during peak gusts.
