Description:
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning for moderate to heavy rain in the Jambi region on Thursday (04 December). Rainfall may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds across Kerinci, Sarolangun, Batanghari, Muaro Jambi, Tanjung Jabung Barat, Tanjung Jabung Timur, Bungo and Jambi City.
Weather conditions may expand further to affect parts of Batanghari, Muaro Jambi, Tanjung Jabung Barat, Tanjung Jabung Timur and Tebo as the system develops, with short-duration heavy downpours and strong wind gusts possible.
Impact:
Moderate to heavy rainfall may lead to localised waterlogging in low-lying or poorly drained areas, affecting early travel and slowing vehicle movement. Strong winds may displace unsecured objects and briefly affect high-profile vehicles in open stretches. Lightning activity may cause temporary pauses in outdoor work and increase risks near tall structures.
